Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr.
Mathis is a highly accomplished senior strategist and management
professional with more than twenty years experience managing
long-term strategic business relationships including non-profit
healthcare associations and for-profit corporations. His experience
includes serving as the Chairman and CEO of several small
to mid-size organizations including UBI Healthcare Solutions,
which partnered with Vanderbilt University to develop and
market CareerPace, an industry-leading nurse recruiting, retention,
and educational software tool.
During his tenure as CEO of UBI Healthcare Solutions, Mr.
Mathis successfully established the corporation, secured capital
funding, rebuilt the Vanderbilt University software platform,
successfully negotiated the initial corporate contracts, and
in 2006, sold the company to AssistMed, Inc., a Beverly Hills,
California clinical documentation services company. He earned
his M.A. at Lipscomb University and studied law at the University
of Toledo College of Law. He has extensive legal and business
development experience. He is author of "Solving
the Global Nurse Shortage: Social Media & the Cultural
Transformation of Nursing." Mr. Mathis is intensely
dedicated to solving the global nurse shortage by being a
nurse advocate.
He travels extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad conducting
seminars on the vital issues surrounding the global nurse
shortage, working with undergraduate and graduate nursing
programs to better position schools for depth of change in
the nurse marketplace, consulting with key government officials
and business leaders and is at present completing a second
volume on critical issues related to the global nurse shortage.
